Quirke Tailings was the destination today as Astrid led a group of thirteen hikers along the north end of the tailings ponds. The sunshine bouyed our spirits as we hiked along the almost snow free gravel roadway. No elk this year, but we did spot some sandhill cranes. PHOTOS
