Lower Rochester Falls, October 1st, 2016

On Saturday Oct. 1 nine hikers set out with Marty for a trek to Rochester Falls. Because there was no flow we were able to cross over and enjoy our lunches on the beach in front of the Sprague cabin.

Who we are

Welcome to the blog of the Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club headquartered in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

We are a very casual hiking club.

We have about 250 kilometers of trails in the pre-cambrian shield, a beautifully scenic and fairly rugged area of lakes, wetlands and rocky areas amply covered by all manner of flora and fauna.

We offer leisure, easy and intermediate hikes, snow shoe hikes and special events throughout the year. Our members also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and cross country skiing.
