A group of 15 hikers led by Laura and Jean Guy hiked the Cup and Saucer Trail on Manitoulin Island. The conditions were near perfect…sunny and a nice breeze. We left Elliot Lake at 8:30am and carpooled in 5 cars. We met up at the visitor centre in Little Current and then we headed to the new trailhead parking lot. The first half hour was mostly uphill and then it levelled out. We decided to hike through the forest trail (blue trail) going anti-clockwise to the limestone ridge (white trail). We enjoyed the many spectacular lookouts and completed our hike in 4 ½ hours. We met up for dinner at the Red Dog Grill in Whitefish falls before heading back to Elliot Lake. We got back around 7pm.
