So, Seventeen hikers shivered in the circle at the arena until it was time to set off on the hike. We left from the Miner’s monument, walked the ATV trail going behind the Hampton Inn to Mountain Road (ski hill road) We picked up the trail head by the ATV clubhouse, to the Horne Lake trail and walked the perimeter of the island having a break at the cookout fire place. It was much warmer on the trails (no wind) and I am sure a good walk was had by all the hikers.
