I led ten uber hikers up to the Fire Tower from the Pearson Centre, and returned by the Paul Echel Trail. We started out under sunny skies but it quickly clouded over as we trekked up the very wet and steep part of the Horne Lake Trail. Once on top we encountered some ice pellets as we approached the top of the ski hill. The sun poked out every so often after that, and by lunch time the wind had died down and the sun shone down on our lunch spot. Most people commented that they had never seen that much water flowing in the streams along this trail. Emily challenged everyone to a jog up Lung Buster, but there were no takers, big surprise!
