On Tuesday, 26 Aug., 21 members signed in for the hike to Banana Lake. it
was a beautiful day and the trail was mainly dry. We went on to the trail about
a kilometer from Hwy 108 off Dunlop Shores Rd. and once we reached the lake,
continued west to the wilderness campsite. The trail from where it first reaches
the lake, up to the campsite is in need of clearing. Grant marked the trail with
tape as we progressed. We had lunch in the sun on the shores of Banana Lake and
after lunch several of our sweatier participants went for a swim in what had
been the clear, unpolluted water.
