Lacnor tailings, November 17th, 2015

On November 17th, a herd of 29 hikers joined Sheila and Nickie to Lacnor Tailings. We all enjoyed the view of Dumbell Lake and spotted a grouse along the way. Strong winds are an indication of weather to come. PHOTOS

Who we are

Welcome to the blog of the Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club headquartered in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

We are a very casual hiking club.

We have about 250 kilometers of trails in the pre-cambrian shield, a beautifully scenic and fairly rugged area of lakes, wetlands and rocky areas amply covered by all manner of flora and fauna.

We offer leisure, easy and intermediate hikes, snow shoe hikes and special events throughout the year. Our members also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and cross country skiing.
