Esten Boat Launch, February 22nd, 2016

A small group of six had a lovely hike to the Esten boat launch. We crunched our way along the snowmobile trail under a brilliant blue sky and enjoyed lunch overlooking a frozen Esten Lake. PHOTOS

Who we are

Welcome to the blog of the Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club headquartered in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

We are a very casual hiking club.

We have about 250 kilometers of trails in the pre-cambrian shield, a beautifully scenic and fairly rugged area of lakes, wetlands and rocky areas amply covered by all manner of flora and fauna.

We offer leisure, easy and intermediate hikes, snow shoe hikes and special events throughout the year. Our members also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and cross country skiing.
