Leap Year Hike, February 29th, 2016

Donna led 7 hikers out for a leap year snowshoe hike along the yellow trail in the sanctuary. Everyone had a chance at breaking trail while still enjoying the beauty of the freshly fallen snow. PHOTOS

Who we are

Welcome to the blog of the Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club headquartered in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

We are a very casual hiking club.

We have about 250 kilometers of trails in the pre-cambrian shield, a beautifully scenic and fairly rugged area of lakes, wetlands and rocky areas amply covered by all manner of flora and fauna.

We offer leisure, easy and intermediate hikes, snow shoe hikes and special events throughout the year. Our members also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and cross country skiing.
