This is an excerpt from an email from Denison Environmental. Please take note!!
While you are hiking on any of the mine sites, it can be tempting to dip
your toes in the water, especially as the warm weather arrives. Please
remind your hikers to avoid any shoreline (river/pond/lake/etc.) that
has a beaver dam or remnants of a beaver dam. In order for us to
properly regulate the flow of water on the sites, we have trappers that
will break up a dam and then set traps. They don’t have traps left out
all the time, but there is no set pattern so it is best to just avoid
these areas.
