10 of us struggled through changing snow conditions from the Fire tower Hill to Westner Lake. All was well at the start, but the sun soon ended that and most of us had ditched our snowshoes on the return. The penalty for keeping them on was soon realised by Sue who had about 2 Kg under each one. Despite that, it was a beautiful day and worth the effort. PHOTOS
