Melis Cottage Cookout, April 8, 2017

Commentary by Pim, photos by Pim and Astrid
The beautiful sunny weather brought 32 people out to Bootleggers Bay near Algoma Mills.  Contrary to what you think, we were not smuggling booze, but rather, went to Dayle and Paul Melis's cottage for a cookout.  From Lauzon Creek bridge, we walked a section of the old highway to the Melis's property, took in the view of the partially open North Channel from a rock outcrop and went down to their cottage on a small beach where we cooked hotdogs and hamburgers, and enjoyed goodies courtesy of various people that contributed to the potluck luncheon.  Special thanks goes to Dayle and Paul Melis for inviting us to their cottage and to those that brought food to share.  PHOTOS
