Quirke Tailings, July 8, 2017

Commentary and photos by Astrid
We didn't run, and there wasn't a lot of woods involved, but we earned our club name today nonetheless!  Jean-Guy led 14 of us on a lovely 10 kms ramble along the Quirke tailings ponds.  The first time this summer that many of us hiked without a bug hat! We made it all the way to the end, spotting elk on the way in and sandhill cranes on the way out; look for the photos with the red circles (you may have to zoom in a bit).  PHOTOS
