A beautiful summer day brought out 7 avid hikers. The weather was near perfect around 23 deg. We started out at the fire tire look-out parking lot and made our way to the jack rabbit trail system via the fire tower trail. One avid mountain biker passed us and we were thoroughly impressed by his skill level. We hiked on the expert, advanced and intermediate trails (south and north sides of fire tower road) and also linked up with VTA trail taking us back to the parking lot. We all participated in navigation and it was quite an enjoyable hike. We completed our hike in 2 1/2 hours and then we went for coffee. PHOTOS
