Thanks to everyone that came out to the general meeting
yesterday!!! Lots of great outdoor clothing & gear available for our pre-meeting gear
swap. And we had plenty of time for socializing while enjoying
pizza. Thanks to Jim M we even managed to fit in a GPS orientation for a
small group of members. Our guest speaker Ed Pearce, Councillor-City of Elliot
Lake told us some very interesting news concerning proposed plans for
Mississagi Park. Thanks to George H. we discussed the club's affiliation with
VTA and we heard about insurance costs if we deal directly with Hike
Ontario. We also had a motion during the meeting on whether we should keep our club name “Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club” and after some discussion the vote by the members was “YES” keep it the
same!!! Meeting minutes will be posted when ready.
