Jean Guy chose an excellent sun-shiny, warm, spring day to lead another interesting road-walk near the end of Panel Mine Road. Spring hiking in the "woods" is always a bit "iffy". One never really knows for sure if snowshoes are needed, or not, and it's an enduring pain to carry them if not needed. Do we wear our big winter boots or get a soaker taking a chance on lighter shoes? Will there be slippery icy spots? Will we need poles? Non-hiking Elliot Lake residents have absolutely no idea of the decisional stressess us hikers must endure in our busy retired lives :-)
