A total of 6 hard-assed hikers participated in the hike from the bank to the firetower, the hard way. The area momma bear and cub was no where to be seen today. Trail conditions were excellent and the group was very cheerful and expert in climbing and descending. They even corrected the leader when he wished to follow the wrong trail. It took 1.5 hours to get to the firetower, a result which will be noted and logged for future reference by the hike leader as the standard for any future competitive speed hikes.
