HORNE 2022 05 07

Dave led the group of 12, from the parking lot across the road to the old Pearson center and down to the Horne lake trail. W turned  north and followed the lake trail to the monument and then on the north side of the lake to the "blue trail"  traversing the tricky rocky section we crossed the beaver dam and took the trail up the side of the hill to the lookout for a break. There is a large pine tree (36+ dia.) down on the path that necessitated a detour. a flock of female bufflehead ducks were on the lake, a solitary loon, and 5 fishermen.. lots of challenges and awe inspiring views along the route.. about 8 kms in all.. mayflowers were out
