Tom led the ten out from the snow dump, skirting puddles towards the Esten lake beach. Redwing blackbirds screeched at us at the start.. lots of hills for 10+kms today. nice spot to rest at the beach and a crocus was up and flowering... continued on beyond Esten to Crystal and Angel and back on the Woodpecker trail to the snow dump. Woodpeckers did their bit and echoed their presence all through the trail. A spring workout. A new friend joined us and did very well. Just a few muddy shoes
