Hike to Gullbeak lake

A small turnout on a beautiful day for a hike to Gullbeak lake. A short hike but spectacular scenery. Crisp day and the fall flowers are now out as they get ready for fall and the long sleep over winter.

Who we are

Welcome to the blog of the Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club headquartered in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

We are a very casual hiking club.

We have about 250 kilometers of trails in the pre-cambrian shield, a beautifully scenic and fairly rugged area of lakes, wetlands and rocky areas amply covered by all manner of flora and fauna.

We offer leisure, easy and intermediate hikes, snow shoe hikes and special events throughout the year.
