This marsh goes on forever! You can just see Hope Lake in the distance!Good news. Chuck & Phill went in to the Hope Lake trail last monday and found the extension that goes from the marsh at the west end of the lake, south to the old logging road. We tagged and partially cleared it and intend going in on another day soon to finish the job. This will then be a circular trail, allowing you to go either way around and varying the scenery. We had tried to find a better viewpoint for the lake and a picnic spot, but this is a low-lying area and there is no good viewpoint. What we did find is a rocky knoll just south of the marsh, on the extension, that is an ideal stopping place.
