Hope Lake clearing

Thanks to Ingrid, Chuck, Liz & Phill for clearing the old and forgotten portion of the Hope Lake Trail that connects the marsh at Hope Lake back to the old logging road. You now have a well marked and scenic, circular hiking trail of about 9 km. Park at the clearing off 108 about 20 km south of town - there's a Tim Hortons billboard there. Take the road heading south east and if you are going to go clockwise, look for the marks on the left by the beaver pond that take you into the forest. Going counter clockwise, follow the road past the beaver pond and the stream - about 2km in - and on to where the trail turns south. A short distance from that point you will see marks on your left. Follow them to the marsh at Hope Lake and pick up the trail heading back through the forest.
