Banana Lake hike, Thursday, 8th. Feb. 07
Continuing cool, but very little wind in the bush and it was behind the 12 of us as we walked in the open down Banana Lake. The trail had been used by a snow machine as far as the turn off to the campground, but, even then, the snow is not deep and very light, making it easy going. A bit of slush part way on the lake, but we detoured around it and cleaned the ice off our shoes, so a minor delay. We came back on the rarely used south side trail and found it in fairly good condition considering it has not been attended to in some time.
