McBean Mountain

About 50 miles takes you to the trail head for Mount McBean situated on the Sagamok IR near Massey. If you go, once on the reserve, it is near the West Bay boat dock and you can park there safely for $3. Andy watches over your vehicle. We car pooled and 16 of us took the strenuous trail, a 600 foot elevation, to the top. It actually involved some minor rock climbing in places. What a view! A beautiful fall day, sunny and cool gave us panoramic vistas across the North Channel to Manitoulin Island both east and west and all the islands between. A great day of hiking, great views and company, enjoyed by all. Thx Marc for the pics.
