ELECTIONS
There are rules (of course): The elections must be moderated, as we have not had a nominations committee, the chair of which is usually the moderator, it is usual for the outgoing president (now the Past President) to moderate the elections.
If there are to be secret ballots i.e. 2 or more nominations for a position on the club executive, the moderator will call for an assistant from the floor to check the vote count(s). This assistant must be a member in good standing and not a nominee.
All nominees must be club members or members at large residing within the club geographic area, be in good standing, and fully paid up members of the association on the date of the election.
Nominations;
a. President
b. Vice President
c. Treasurer
d. Secretary
e. Trail Master
f. Outings Coordinator
g. Web Master/Publicity/Membership/Special Events (Note: These tasks can be split between any of the executive positions above, or can be appointments as non executive positions).

Once the elections are complete the new executive will take over the meeting and continue with the agenda plus any additions to the agenda of any appointments items.
