If you were put off by the -18 morning temperature, you should have braved it and come out. There was hardly a zephyr of wind and the conditions were ideal. 6 of us walked into May Lake, but not on the snowmachine trail. About a 2 minute walk in on that trail and then off on an unused logging trail that takes you through the area logged a couple of years ago. It eventually enters a wooded area and rejoins the machine trail very near May Lake. About 3o yards down the trail it again heads off into the bush and arrives at a rocky outcropping overlooking May Lake. We then crossed the lake to a point and had lunch there. Thx to Nancy-Jo, "New" and "Bearded" John for the pics.
Our tracks across to the "lunch" point.

A "snow horse" can you see it?
