High Rocks

26 hikers took to the high rocks of Elliot Lake on tuesday, 4th Nov. A beautiful Indian Summer day that reached new record temperatures after the mist burned off. Thx John(s) for the pics.

Who we are

Welcome to the blog of the Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club headquartered in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

We are a very casual hiking club.

We have about 250 kilometers of trails in the pre-cambrian shield, a beautifully scenic and fairly rugged area of lakes, wetlands and rocky areas amply covered by all manner of flora and fauna.

We offer leisure, easy and intermediate hikes, snow shoe hikes and special events throughout the year.
