Thursday July 9, 09 Hike to Upper Rochester Creek Falls
I had seven hikers out today for a hike to Upper Rochester Creek falls. The weather was perfect, warm temps and sunny skies. I had been warned before hand that "there had better not be any bugs on this one," and even with the lack of any breeze the outing was nearly bug free. We noticed that a lot of work had been done on the latter half of the road past the first tailings
pond and some restoration work was done to the dam just before the falls. We saw some fresh moose tracks, the remains of a Fox and a very agile turtle that wanted nothing to do with us.
