Gerry & Nicky lead a group of 12 hikers up to the Quirke 2 mine site. It was a hot, hazy & humid day, with a few bugs around, and a bit of a breeze blowing now and again. We had lunch over looking Quirke Lake, but the view of the lake was very hazy. After lunch, before we started hiking back to the cars, Phill found a beautiful piece of pudding stone. Liz said that it would look nice in her garden but Phill said he wasn't going to carry it, hey, it was b....y heavy. She whined a bit more and suckered Gerry into carrying it back to the car, in his backpack. Thanks Gerry, it looks great.
For a bit of a change and half the price, we had our afternoon coffee break at McDonalds.
