The "French" camp on Cinder Lake
Spanish American Mine Site Hike.
Thu, 19 Nov 2009
"Where are all my lady friends", Shelly cried, before Grant lead a hike with 6 hiker's, 5 of which were male, to the Spanish American Mine site. By the time the hike was over, she was looking for a cliff, to push Grant & John over, they were picking on her. It was a cool, damp day. We saw lots of deer & elk tracks, A mess of grouse feathers, pumpkin animals, an old mine workings including a claims stake. Grant, & John went out at 9:00am & parked John's van at The Spanish American gate off of Stanrock Rd. Then at 10:00am Grant took a group of 3 hiker's followed by Steve & the others. We went to the gate next to the Cinder Lake Rd & started our hike from that point & ending at the gate off of Stanrock Rd fpr the ride back.
