A group of eighteen people snowshoed on a mild January 16 to a high ridge on the west side of Quirke Lake between Quirke 2 Mine and Denison Mine. We followed a road from Quirke 2 mine past the mine shaft to the Quirke Lake overlook for a lunch break. Our return trip to the parking area took us to an alpine meadow with a nice view and some elk scat in the snow.
