Thursday Jan. 7, 2010 Hike to Fred's pole and Rochester Creek
Grant led a group of 7 snowshoers along the north ridge of Quirke Lake to Fred's pole and down to Rochester Creek. Conditions were perfect with temps in the -5 C range under sunny blue skies and zero wind. The first part of the hike is up fairly steep terrain but once you reach the top the views are worth the effort. Great hike.
