Saturday, 30 Jan. cookout was a resounding success with 28 people coming out for the fun at Sherrif Lake. Liz & I, Gerry, "New" John & Grant were the advance party, trucking in the supplies and cutting wood, getting the fire raging before the main group arrived. We invited the group from Katimavik and they all showed up with many of our membership. We had hotdogs available for the Katimavik group and spares, just in case. Good job we did as we got through about 3 dozen dogs. Hot chocolate was also on and marshmallows and donut holes for desert. Something from all the wrong food groups? After eating we had a tug-of-war on the ice and the green team won after considerable effort. I see, from the photo, that they had 2 more tuggers than the green team??!! It was a great day, no wind, the sun came out for a while and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Thanks to everyone, particularly, Gerry, Grant, Liz, "New"John, Nickie and the young people from Katimavik for making it a great day. Thanks to Pim and Scott for the pictures.
