Grant lead 12 hikers, including Stephanie, who is with the group of Katimavik volunteers new to Elliot Lake, on a hike to the Quirke Mine tailings area. She is from Langley, BC. It was a unusually warm, early spring day, with little sign of snow left in the bush. We saw elk tracks but no animal sightings, other than an unidentified critter, otter perhaps?
