Greetings!
The Green Expo is only a month away and there is a lot to see and do at this year's event! Visit over 30 exhibitors and take part in activities and demonstrations. This year, the Expo is pleased to host the Paddling Pupetteers, sponsored by The Kensington Conservancy. The Pupetteers will put on three shows throughout the day on Saturday (9:30, 11:30 and 1:30). Visit their website for more information on their shows! Don't forget the canning workshop offered at three times on July 24th, see the poster link to the left for more details. We will have children's activities and crafts, live bees and bugs, and other presentations/activities throughout the day. Visit the Farmers Market to buy what's fresh! Expo Location: Johnson Township Community Centre (1 Cameron Avenue, Desbarats) Hours: Friday July 23rd, 3:00 - 6:00 Saturday July 24th, 9:00 - 2:00 We look forward to seeing you there! |
| Tickets on Sale Now for the Local Meal! The Central Algoma Freshwater Coalition will once again host the Local Meal on July 23rd at 6:30 p.m. upstairs at the Johnson Township Community Centre. The dinner will feature local meats, dairy and produce fresh from area Farmers to your plates! After dinner, join us for entertainment by the O'Schraves! Tickets are available at the Johnson Township Office, the Farmers Market, the Sault Ste. Marie District MNR Office, or by calling 971-8733. Tickets are $25 (includes entertainment) or $10 for the entertainment only. A cash bar will be available (provided by the Bruce Mines Legion). |
