On Sunday, Feb. 27th., your club hosted two Family Snowshoe Strolls under the auspices of the People Powered Use of Trails initiative. The hikes started from the ATV clubhouse at the ski hill, generously loaned to us by the ATV Club, and proceeded to Horne Lake Island where we had a fire and hot dogs, hot chocolate and snacks. 15 of our members volunteered for the event, plus 3 non-members.
We had 30 sign up for the 11am hike, about 50% pre teen kids. Another 20 signed up for the 2pm. hike, more adults than kids on that one. We supplied snowshoes when required. Thx to "Navy " Jim and Nickie for the pics and a big thx to all our volunteers for a job well done!
