If you weren't there on Thursday, you missed a great hike. A small covering of snow on the trail and trees made it very scenic. The Rochester Falls were running in spring freshet and the sun shone on the 10 of us all day. We disturbed 2 beavers from the lodge near the falls and they swam around the inlet sounding and obviously annoyed at us. I guess when someone is standing on your roof and stealing your sticks, you'd be annoyed!

All that remains of the bridge and hydro plant above the falls. It supplied power to the lodge that was at the beach about half way along the shore of Quirke Lake as you walk to the falls..
