Serpent River

Group of hobos waiting for a freight
 Falls at the village

Despite cries of dismay at the awfully long journey to Serpent River, over 30km afterall, and the terrible price of gas, all was forgotten after a delightful walk along the Serpent River. We 13 parked at the small boat launch on River Road and then walked west to short trail through the woods to the lower falls near the rail bridge. We viewed a bald eagle exploring the far bank there. We then retraced our steps to the village of Serpent River and had lunch on the banks of the river at the falls there. Saw 2 sandhill cranes off 108 on the way home. Thanks to Al for the pics.
