Mississagi Park

On Saturday, 20th. August, you are invited to a Hike in the Park - Mississagi Park to be precise!
There are beautiful several hikes in the park, the most popular the easy Semiwhite Creek trail. This is a flat trail that follows Semiwhite Creek from the park entrance to the campground area. It still has some of the logging equipment and ends near the beach. A nice spot for lunch and a dip.
The Helenbar Lookout trail has a fairly steep climb, but the view from the top across Helenbar Lake is spectacular with a lovely picnic spot overlooking the lake.
The Semiwhite Lake trail is the longest and you should allow 4 hours for this lovely hike around the lake. It has all types of terrain, including a gorge where logs would be stored in winter ready for the spring run-off.
The club will pay the day use fee, please try to fill your vehicle.
Meet at Sears at 10am. and you can call Jean-Guy at 705 8482544 or Phill at 705 8488767 for more details.
