Highway 108 is a lot cleaner...

thanks to twelve intrepid Coureurs de Bois members who got down and dirty while helping to clean up the section of Highway 108 between the Airport and Depot Lake.  Thanks to Gayle, George and Sheila, Pam and Terry, Emily,  Gerry and Nicky, Lionel and Carol, Michelle and  Donna for being the clean up crew.  That section of the highway is now liberated of 20 garbage bags of junk that magically appeared since our clean up in April!!

Our crew had the goal of cleaning our environment but also of finding the most “interesting  treasure”.  Finalists were: a possible fox skeleton, a prayer bench (who knew foxes were religious??), a semi inflated football (which was thrown directly into the garbage dumpster for  a touchdown), and some plastic bottles filled with suspicious looking pale pop.   The overall winner was a sign from the  Steel Workers Union.  Congratulations to Carol for this treasure and we hope she enjoys the “Pot of Gold” chocolates.
Many thanks to all who participated in this clean up. We hope to see volunteers in our April clean up.
