Dec 24 saw 5 hikers, led by Jean-Guy, take a leisurely snowshoe hike along the shores of Ryan Lake behind the golf course. We took turns breaking a trail in the beautiful powder and enjoyed a quiet lunch overlooking the lake.
Dec 29 Grant led a group of 21 hikers on a cross country hike through Sherrif Creek. Lots of laughs as we debated the definitions and differences of "hill", "knoll", "rise", and "freakishly huge mountain".
Dec 30 Five members skiied Sheriff Lake area. Weather was mild and the company was fun. Would like to set up a cross country ski every Sunday for those interested.
Dec 31 Our year came to a wonderful end with a leisure hike led by Jean-Guy with a group of 13 hearty souls. We made out way across the golf course, then connected onto the red trail into the woods. Not a creature was stirring, just the " swoosh" of our snowshoes along the trail. Lots of laughs along the way and a couple of minor slips, but Grant was there to the rescue. A nice lunch on the shore of a lake that had beautiful cliffs as a backdrop for pictures. It was a great day for all. Let's all bring in the New Year together again!
