Twenty "chomping at the bit" snowshoers joined Marty and Astrid on a snowshoe hike around Ryan Lake (south of the golf course) today. Parking at the clubhouse, we made our way clockwise around Ryan Lake. The fresh powder and shelter of the trees made it ideal for snowshoeing. At the top of the lake, the group split into two; one group choosing to cross Ryan Lake to rejoin the trail, the other group sticking to the trail that became quite steep in parts. The entire group then headed south and we had lunch beside yet another lake (name unknown...anyone??). The chilly wind off the lake did not invite us to linger over lunch, so after a quick snack we headed back to the clubhouse. A big Welcome Back to Maureen and Janet! CLICK HERE for photos
