A total of 23 sun seekers joined Grant and Darla for an outing on the Horne Lake trail today. We admired the Horne Lake Jewels in Ice, enjoyed lovely warm sunshine, beautiful scenery and top notch company! PHOTOS

Who we are

Welcome to the blog of the Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club headquartered in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

We are a very casual hiking club.

We have about 250 kilometers of trails in the pre-cambrian shield, a beautifully scenic and fairly rugged area of lakes, wetlands and rocky areas amply covered by all manner of flora and fauna.

We offer leisure, easy and intermediate hikes, snow shoe hikes and special events throughout the year. Our members also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and cross country skiing.
