WELCOME:

OLD BUSINESS:
- Reminders:
-Sweeps name on sign-up sheets (don’t forget to log trail clearing requirements);
- Membership dues to be paid directly to the Soo. Notify Donna so she can update list;
- New Members to notify Donna; (so she can put you on members list right away);
- Paddle outings: If on the Blog, NOT a VTA sanctioned event;
-Sign-up sheets to Jim (for stats). Will give to Donna to forward to VTA
- Thunder Mountain FN Protocols;
1. Ask permission first (Isaac Day: waposay@yahoo.com)
2. Ask for an escort or guide;
3. NO photos of the sites;
4. Gift of tobacco (in jar in equipment room)
- Rooster Rock: Treat with respect, no photos of FN sites, view photos OK.

NEW BUSINESS:
- Volunteers to guide the rangers when they clear the Cobre Trail (dates TBA) – sign up sheet;
- Need volunteers to organize the June Pot Luck (13 June 4:30 – 7:00) and pick up keys; Sign up Sheet
- Need volunteers to organize the Christmas Party (December 4th 2014 at the Moose) Sign up sheet;
- Hike Leader Renewals: Gerry
- Need to think about a trail audit for our part of the V T; (John and Ron need volunteers to check out)
- There will be one General Meeting in Oct instead of one in Sept and Nov unless required.
-Need volunteers to guide the Jr. Rangers trail clearing some local trails (should be familiar with the local trails – signup sheet)
- Explanation of donations from Susan Bourret - Algoma Public Health;
$130 to replace Winterfest cookout expenses;
$750 worth of trail clearing snowshoes and safety equipment;
$1120 to Laird Signs for signage.
- Funding for cordless chainsaw
- Suggested text for the walking sticks display at Civic Centre:

- Highway Cleanup Sept/Oct (treasure in the trash);
- C de B will be doing the BBQ at the Lumberjack Days at Mississaugi (long W.E. in Aug);
- Next Hike Leaders Planning Meeting: -2nd Tuesday of Sept, in the clubhouse at 2:30;
-General Meetings: -One meeting in late Oct instead of one in Sept and Nov this year.
-Trail Clearing part of XC Ski trail in Oct. (signup sheet)
-Christmas Party -December 4th 2014 at the Moose.
