Old
Business
Sign-up sheets are to go to Jim M first when completed for tracking
purposes – leader and sweeps names must be on them.
Do not forget to log trail clearing requirements on the back of the
sign-up sheets if required
These sheets will then be given to Donna to forward to the VTA
Gerry J spoke to us to review our hikes regarding trail etiquette –
we are an insured club and are responsible to one another so speak up
if we have a medical condition
We
must hike together as a group ( no slinky effect) – being 15
minutes apart is not
good
When getting too far apart stay at the front until the sweep is
caught up
** the pace should match that of the slowest hiker**
You must be on the sign-up sheet to hike
Leader and sweep should have a whistle
Take out what you bring in with you on the hike
When taking a washroom stop let the sweep know and leave backpack
along side of trail
It is only proper that when car pooling we all share the cost of gas
George
H spoke on how we should break snowshoe trails, suggesting rotation
for approximately 2 minutes, then step back and let next person do
it, etc etc but nobody should be obligated to do this. This will be
reviewed again next winter
As for SPOT activation we are still waiting for the OPP to set us up
but walkie talkies are available
New
Business

Mountain

Signs are to be renewed for canes and a plaque put in pavillion for
