Eight hikers welcomed canine hiker "Apricot" and his human "Randall" as we headed to Northspan Lake for a hike under the sun at the former Spanish American Mine. We walked up the old mine road past the mine, stopped at the "boat launch" at Northspan lake, investigated moose bones and had a "room with a view" for our lunch stop at Denison Tailings. The view overlooking Quirke Lake from the tailings dam was awesome. PHOTOS
