Trout Lake, June 6, 2015

Commentary by Phill B, photos by Donna C. and Tana F.
Fifteen members gathered at Brunswick Mall and headed south to an old logging road that heads west from 108 near the McCarthy exit. Area was logged about 10 years ago and the object on Sat. was an attempt to reach Trout Lake, part of the Depot - Grandeur - Marshland canoe route, about 3km in.  Unfortunately, the trail had grown and become impassable about .5 km short of the lake and we stopped there in a clearing and had lunch in the shade of white pines.  It was a beautiful day, not too warm and not too many bugs.  We will go in again, open the trail to the lake and GPS it.  PHOTOS
