"A perfect day" is how I would sum up today's hike. The weather was ideal for hiking; slight breeze, lack of bugs & the sun poking out from between the clouds now & then.  Today I was joined by six other seasoned hikers which provided good company; along the way we had a close encounter with two Sand Hill Cranes!  We stopped for lunch on top of the ridge overlooking Quirke Lake, a most spectacular view of the lake & the islands. This has to be one of the nicer trails that club hikes on. I never get tired of it.  Thank you to those that joined me today.  PHOTOS
