We have received the following email from Denison Environmental;
Further to our meeting at Denison a couple of weeks ago one of the safety measures we would like to implement would be that when the Coureurs de Bois plan to hike on Denison Mines or Rio Algom Mines Property that Denison Environmental Services (DES) is notified at least the day before the hike takes place. This safety measure is intended to protect both the hikers and DES workers. Once we are aware of the hiking location we will notify our staff the following day during our morning meeting. Kindly e-mail or phone the DES office as follows:
1) Call the main number
– 705-848-9191 ext 221 or “0”; or
2) E-mail Angela Ewald
at aewald@denisonenvironmental.com,
or me; or (as a last resport)
3) You can also call the
Environmental On-Call Cell number at - 705-461-0466 although the previous two
notifications methods are preferred.
Your co-operation is appreciated and is crucial to the continued partnership between our club and Denison. The CdeB executive will have trail information available shortly so that hike leaders know which trails are on mine property.
