This coming Saturday we will be hiking along the VTA in the vicinity of McGivern Lake and Crooked Creek. To get to the start of our hike, we will drive approximately 17 kms along Pipeline Road. Your hike leaders suggest that only SUVs and pick up trucks make the trip. If you decide to take your car you will bottom out. Don't say we didn't warn you. Hiking distance will be roughly 6 kms. Not a long distance, but this is a bush trail, so plenty of rocks, tree roots, mud, water crossings and other ankle busters.
